Communication Officer (M/F)

Currently we are recruiting a Communication Officer in K. Mitrovica.

The International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) is a private educational institute that opens its doors on the 1^st of March 2010. This brand new college of exceptional quality is for students in the K. Mitrovica region and beyond. The IBCM offers programmes in Business, Public Administration and Agricultural Business, taught by international teachers. Students can obtain a degree that is issued by an EU partner institute.

We are now seeking a full-time (40 hrs a week) Communication Officer. The post holder is responsible for public communication for this newly established international centre of excellence. Furthermore, the position supports the promotion of the College and the recruitment of new students.

Principle Duties

• PR & web management IBCM

• Develop promotional material

• Draft and issue press releases, information notes and written materials for dissemination to local and international media

• Create and use communication tools

Requirements & assets:

• Good communication and social skills;

• Good team worker while able to work independently;

• Good to excellent oral and written language skills in English.

• Knowledge of new media as well as conventional media experience

• General knowledge of communication strategies and marketing mechanisms

• Network in Journalism is a big plus

• Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop CS4

• Basic understanding of Adobe Indesign CS4

• Experience in some or all elements of the abovementioned job description
